Use this option to edit the settings of a certain symbol. This can be done by right click on the desired symbol and choose edit, and after you finish from changing the desired setting of the selected symbol press the Save button.
When you edit the settings of a certain symbol, a new window will appear with several tabs. The following options that belong to the Gold symbol settings:
1- General
The General tab have many options that belong to the general settings of the selected symbol and they are as the following:
Option
Description
Used
To determine if the selected symbol is used or not . If the symbol is used, you can show it in the Market Watch Window.
Move prices if market is closed
Enabling this option will let the selected symbol prices to be moving on the Market Watch Window although the system market is closed. The rates will be moving on the system if they are moving from the feed provider side.
Re-Quotable
If you enable this option then when a dealer changes (re-quote) an order price, a confirmation message will be sent to the client who requested the order to inform him with the new accepted price. But if you disable this option then any re-quoted order will be placed with new price from the dealer side, without waiting any confirmation from the client side.
Symbol Name
Fill this blank with the desired name for the symbol which will appear on the Market Watch Window.
Contract name
Fill this blank with the desired contract for the symbol.
Trade Status
You have two choices, either to let the trading open for this symbols or closed. If your client tried to take a position on this symbol while it is closed, a warning message will appear for your client telling him that "Trading is closed".
Trade Type
If you set this option to "Full Trade" then your clients can be trading with buy & sell orders on this symbol. And if you set it to Close Only, you will force the clients to only close their positions of this symbol.
Start Trade with
If you set this option to "Buy & Sell", your clients can start trading with buy & sell orders on this symbol. And if you set it to "Buy Only, you will force the clients to set only buy orders for the first trade on this symbol.
Description
Type here a description for this symbol which will appear when you set the cursor over this symbol on the Market Watch Window.
Amount Unit
To select the type of the amount that you are using in your trading, Lot, Dollar, Barrels of oil… etc
Pip Location
To set the number of decimal moving points. i.e. in 1.2365 the pip location is 0.0001
Market Order Type
To reflect the price or the word "market" on many windows in the platform like pending window, journal window and one click trading window.
Ref Symbol
To set the reference symbols that will be used in the profit calculation.
Market Watch Color
To set the desired background color for each symbol or group to appear on the market watch.
Paired with
To select any symbol to be paired with the source one, so when a roll over operation done for new future source symbol, the old contract chart will connect to the new contract chart to get a continuous charting for that symbol all over the available contracts.
Spread Calculation
If you set it to "From Bid" then: Bid price in the market watch will be as the bid price in your data feed. Ask price will be equal to bid price plus spread. (ASK=BID + spread)
If you Set it to "From Average" then: BID = (Feed Bid+ Feed Ask)/2 - (spread/2) ASK = (Feed Bid+ Feed Ask)/2 + (spread/2)
Tick Pip
To define the exact number of Pips desired to be increased or decreased at the Chatting window for this symbol and at the One Click Trading Screen. And it mustn't be Null or Zero value.
Main Unit Price
It will reflect on the Unit Price column in Trade/History panels which will divide the Open Price by this factor.
2- Trading Times The Trading Times tab contains many options belong to the times of trading for the selected symbol. The times are considered as the server time. Those options are as the following:

Expiry Date
Usually this option is enabled for the future symbols. If you enabled this option, you will be able to set an expiry date for this symbol which will show up in the Market Watch Window. This option will not effect on the trading even if you set invalid date since it is only for viewing the expiry date in the market watch.
Weekly opening and closing times
To set weekly trading time, by defining the opening day and time, also the closing date and time. Usually it is set From Monday 00:00 To Friday 23:59
Daily closing times
From this area you can set a daily close time, for example you want to close the trade for a break during the day. You will only need to enable one of the checkbox and set the desired daily close time.
Stop trading on this symbol after prices stopping for [ ] seconds
You can use this option if you want to stop trading on the selected symbol when its rates stop for certain seconds as defined in this option.
3- Calculation
The Calculation tab constains many options that belong to profit formula calculation of the selected symbols, and they are as the following:

Contract Size
Fill this blank with the contract size which belongs to the value for one standard lot amount of this symbol
Direct/ Indirect
This option have two choices (Direct/ Indirect) to set the calculation mode, you can see the reflection in the profit formula
Ref Symbol Calculation
The referance symbol calculation which you can choose (Division/Multiplication), you can see the reflection in the profit formula
You can see dynamic example for profit formula in the bottom of the window. Check the Recommended Symbols Settings which contains a list of the most used symbol information in the market.
4- Source
In the Source tab you will insert the source of this symbol as it is named in your VertexFX currency server application. The following are the options of this window:

Add New Source
Choosing this option will open a small window to insert the source name for this symbol as it is named in the currency server. And also you can set the duration that this symbol will use this source if there are many sources providing the rates for this symbol and the system will move between these sources automatically in exact time.
Edit Source
To edit the source name or time interval for this symbol.
Delete Source
To delete the source name.
When you want to Rollover the contract, you will be able to change the source contract name by Edit Source, As following:
5- Swap Rates
The Swap Rates tab contains many options that belong to the selected symbols and they are as the following:
Option
Description
Enable interest for this symbol
If you checked this check box, the interest will be enabled for this symbol and it should be enabled for the client from Parameters in the General tab.
Swap Type
To change the swap calculation type: 1- Swap by Interest. 2- Swap by Points. 3- Swap by Money.
Long Swap Rate
This value is for buy positions, the default value is zero, you can change it in percentage like: let's say that you want 5% as interest per year; it should be 0.05 (The valid range value is from 1 to -1).
Short Swap Rate
This value is for sell positions, the default value is zero, you can change it in percentage like: let's say that you want 5% as interest per year; it should be 0.05 (The valid value range is from 1 to -1).
Year days
It is a drop down list through which you can change the year days (default value is 365 day) to be calculated in interest formula.
Close Time
To set the time which the interest will be calculated every day.
Days factor
You can define factor for every day to be used in calculating the interest formula (how many times do you need to calculate the interest for this symbol per day).
Interest formula
The interest formula for buy and sell positions which you can control by modifying the values of the day factor, year days, yearly short (sell) interest rate (affecting sell positions formula) and yearly long (buy) interest rate (affecting buy positions formula).
6- Delivery Items
The Delivery Items tab has many options that belong to the selected symbol, which is used to define delivery items for the Physical Items, Precious Metals and Commodities. The options are as the following:

If you checked this check box, the delivery item will be enabled for this symbol to view the delivery items whenever the client request to deliver his open positions on this symbol from the Net Trade Panel.
Item ID
To insert item ID for the delivery item
Item Name
To insert item name for the delivery item
Item Description
To insert item description for the delivery item
Item Weight
To insert item weight for the delivery item
Image Link
To insert URL image link the delivery item
Add Item
To add new deliver item according to the inserted information in the previous blanks
Delete Item
To delete the selected delivery item from the delivery item list
Update Item
To update the selected deliver item infomration according to the inserted information in the previous blanks
